As a professor I found that you were very accommodating in any situation. You genuinely want to see your students achieve what they are setting out to do. Also, I would like to thank you for the help I received in order to complete the course, I have not had a professor that was that invested in their student's ability to complete the coursework. I found that the way this class was structured was great. I was able to work ahead in the textbook and make sure my work was complete on time or I was able to work towards getting it completed so I wouldn't get an unsatisfactory grade. At the same time, you make sure that we have to participate in the class on a weekly basis by posting the blog either on Sunday night or Monday morning. All in all this was a great class for me. I found that the material was informative even if at times I found something trivial in nature. Many times, I found myself struggling to get through small things for my classes this semester and this information provided a way for me to either complete a task or to simply just go to class or go online and get my work done.

I love that about you because things do happen in life and you understand that, I also loved the E-text. it very simple and easy to use and you are able to work ahead if you liked. I also loved how practical the materiel was and how it it taught me so much about myself. The ending test results that i got were much higher then my before which were awesome to see. I loved learning about myself and have some applicable martial. I have learned so much about myself and how i operate and what is good for and what isn't. This class was extremely helpful and i would take it again or any other class that you offer. I truly enjoyed this class and it seems like everyone who has had your class liked it based off what i seen in the blog post. you helped us understand life and how to use things to out advantage. I will and do apply the things that i have learned to my life now and i love the fact that i have something to take away from this class rather then this class just being another check mark on the class I need to complete.
ReplyDeleteI thought this class was one of the best classes i have had during my education career. It is very helpful and it gave me a lot of opportunities to learn more about myself and a lot of tips to make more successful in studying. This class helped me do better at school and understand myself more as well. I honestly do not have any suggestions to improve this class because i thought throughout the semester that everything in this course was great and well written and explained. I thought the e-text on blackboard was great as well, it was not difficult and I enjoyed doing it a lot, and i thought it was fair enough. Even though this class took some time to write the discussion and other things, i still managed to enjoy it. When it come to rating and evaluating the professor, I would say that the professor is great even though I did not meet the professor, she was always willing to help via emails and always fast to reply. Overall, I would evaluate and rate the class as great and enjoyable, and I would recommend anyone who wants to be more successful to take this class.
ReplyDeleteThis class was very helpful for me and gave me many advices about how I should choose my manager and what I have to do in the future and how I should take care of my health and what I need to do to be happy and make myself able to challenge the life and learn from my mistake and don't let anything stop in my way because and success needs a lot of work and it's not easy to get it without a guide who lead you to find your way in any think you need in this life, and this guide was this class, I found much information that I didn't expect because I thought it will be all about college and nothing else, but instead of that, I found really what I want to read and the important roles that I have to follow to get my goal. I got my benefits by learning those things and I was very happy to take this class and I hope that anyone have the chance to get in because he will find his way especially if he has many questions and doesn't know what to do and which major should take to finish his education.
ReplyDeleteI found this class is very useful and help me a lot to decide what I want in the future. It gives me some advice about what I should choose for my major because this thing will be the first step to achieving my dreams in the future. When I choose my major that I want, I will finish all the classes that I want to graduate and get the certificate to find a better job. Also, it gives the advice about how I should take care of my health and eat the food that is useful for me and do some exercises to keep my body healthy a strong. Also, I learn in this class how to solve any problem that I face and learn from my mistake, and I will not let anything stop me if I need to get success. If I want to reach my goal, I need a lot of work to get that. This will lead me to find my way in this life. This information that I found was really very useful in what I want to reach my goal. I was very happy to take this class and I got my benefits by learning those things.
ReplyDeleteAfter finishing the post test I realized my score went higher because i learned a lot from this course. This course is a excellent source of tips and ways on how to be successful in life and find it meaning. I can't think about a better way to improve the course because the course is already excellent ( assignments, due time, etc.). I found the e-text very rich in information and image that help the student to learn the content better. I found the DWYA assessment very surprisingly accurate the time i finish it and that helped me to learn about myself. The MI Advantage assessment helped me to choose my major and to plan my life goal based on my Intelligence. I learned a lot about myself in this course and i would recommend it to any person who wants to improve his/her life. The course taught me skills and tips to be successful and relevant in college and work. I learned about myself better with this course thanks to the tools and resources this course offers to the students. Thanks to the dedication on developing the e-book and the course, the instructor created a essential course for anyone who wants to improve his/her person.

ReplyDeleteI truly enjoyed this class and really liked the student-professor interaction; I found this class is very useful and help me a lot to decide what I want in the future, you helped me understand life, be open-minded and intellectually curious, understand myself and how to improve my health and I learned how to motivate myself and how to be physically active Every day, eat healthy food, avoiding addictions, and understand the concept of diversity and know why it is important, I was worried whether I should take an online class or not, but at the end of the course I found out that it was much better. In my opinion, flexible hours are the key to the success of an online class. ReplyDeleteIn this course I have learned so much from financial stability to personal health. I will forever be grateful of taken this class because it opened my eyes on the importance of diversity. This class was very useful to me because it made me express my self about topics that don’t always thought off. In my personality evaluation I am a extravert. This class was very helpful to me to confirm my choice of major and maintain me motivated to continue college. My major will be public administration. This class definitely improved my chances of success in college because it motivated me and open my eyes to the open possibilities available. The over all evaluation of this class would be outstanding as well as the lectures chosen where right on target. A rate that I could give my professor would be excellent. She was very grateful every time I would email her. She made this course feel very esay and helped me start and finish strong with a good grade.
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed this class and my professor, she has taught us a lot on how to succeed in college on every level that is needed. I feel that I have learned so much in this class and now my confidence for the rest of my college life will be successful, I just need to think positive and put in enough time for each class. For every category on the Post-test of CollegeScope had gone up by 3 or more points. My evaluation for the personality assessment was INFJ. My evaluation for the MI Advantage was musical, naturalist, logical-mathematical, linguistic, and spatial. I found this very useful and was able to see more careers that I would most likely enjoy. I did learn more about what I wanted, but the best thing that helped me narrow down on a major was talking with a counselor and going through what I would enjoy the most. I feel that my overall standing in this class is an excellent, mainly because I still had my procrastination problem getting the best of me by turning in assignments late. I rate the instructor as an outstanding instructor, she is well organized and very helpful.

I know how to motivate myself to reach to the right way. Also, I will never forget this class and I advice every one to take this class because it was really helpful and useful. I learned how should I take care of myself and keep my body healthy. I learned that never give up and keep going if I face some troubles. ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed taking this class, it was able to provide me with the tools needed to be successful in college. Before I was going to school without any vision on how to succeed. What I like about the class is the different assessments that give you and idea about your strengths and areas you need to improve. The time management topic is very useful which guide you on how to prepare for classes and live a normal life without been overwhelmed. The use of quotes of famous people is an inspiration to be motivated and keep working towards college success. I was able to use some of the material I learn in the class to talk with my peers about their career intentions . After such successful discussions I suggested that they should read the book on college success and take the class which would be beneficial to their success. The personality type assessment was about eighty five percent accurate and show the areas I need to work on. For example I like working alone on times and enjoy been alone to relax. The MI assessment showed me what are my strengths and which career is best suited for my success. The class was helpful for me to choose a major after having a discussion with a college counselor and learning what classes that I need to take. The class did improve my attitude towards college I am able to manage my time and complete assignments . The overall assessment of the class is excellent I would definitely recommend anyone to take this class I they want to succeed with no hiccups. The teacher was very helpful and professional. The introduction was excellent and she was able to relate to all the students. I enjoyed completing and reading the blogs of the other students and working with a diverse group benefit me as a person. The topic on diversity, communication, healthy lifestyle and critical thinking are useful tools to measure your success. The most valuable lesson is appreciating diversity because that is why the United States is so successful as a nation.
ReplyDeleteTaking this course was very helpful, I got to learn a lot from it, I loved how each week we had a different topic to read and share our thoughts with other students. This class is very helpful for us students, from this online course I gained more confidence in myself and I learned how to motivate myself to push myself harder to achieve my goals. I learned how to manage my time, and how to be good at taking tests, how to manage time and how to be healthy, all these topics are important for students. Thank you professor Fralick for this amazing course, I was very organized I had no trouble understanding this course, easy instructions and fun topics every week, you graded everything quick and answer emails the next day or so, very helpful class and I would it recommend to new college students so they start their education with good motivation.

ReplyDeleteWhen I first signed up for this specific class I did so because it is a general ed class. As the weeks started going by and new chapters would come up I started to realize that even though this was a general ed class and I had no intention in actually liking it I started to enjoy it very much and honestly I would look forward to the next chapter after the next because everything about this class was not only interesting but it was beneficial and very helpful to everyday life. Everything the chapters talked about are mutual problems, or difficulties that everyone faces and its eyeopening to read them and realize you and your problems that you face are not alone and many other people feel the exact same. I am confident that this class most definitely has helped and everything I have learned will continue to help me on my college journey. Lastly, I have to say I know this was an online class but I wish our professor Ms. Fralick taught actually classes because her teaching style and the way she explains things is very helpful and she is always open to helping you and thats so important!

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed a lot of different aspects in this class. I enjoyed getting to know my peers, and offering/receiving advice from them to help me in my future courses. I also appreciate how easy it was to navigate through blackboard. All the blogs were located on one link, and our collegescope homework was on another link. It made the instructions every week very simple and easy. Our professor was very helpful in keeping us aware of the assignments that were due each week. It was very nice to see that graded assignments were completed every week, and I was able to keep up with my grade. I really appreciated this because some professors get very behind on grading, and no one knows what their official grade is until near the end of the course. What I liked most is the curriculum. Everything that was taught is very beneficial to us for our future courses and careers. I wish that I would have taking this class much sooner to help me organize my courses and motivate me to do more. I am officially coming to the end of my college career as I now have my bachelor's degree. It was a pleasure to take this course.

ReplyDeleteI found this class to be very resourceful and helpful in confirming that I not only selected the best major for me but also learning about myself. All of the different writing assignments that required research and chapters on careers and learning helped me seek out the knowledge I wanted and apply it towards my own goals. Although I have researched my future career in the past I don’t believe I took away as much as I did when I had to the research for the assignments as I had to pay closer attention and use more resources. I also found the sections where I learned about myself to be oh high importance and interest since we as people could greatly benefit from learning more about ourselves. I found it interesting to learn about my personality type so I can know my strengths and weakness and apply it to possible careers, if I had not learned so much about my personality in this course I would not understand why my personality strengths work well with my future career field. My caring and friendly nature best suits me for a career in the medical field and I found this course to be of great reassurance that I am heading in the best path for myself.
As an instructor I found you to be of great help and very understanding and accommodating to our different situations. I wish there were more professors like you that are not only understanding but genuinely want to see their students grow and be successful rather than just want to “do a job “ and not consider the students and their future. Again thank you for everything I have truly enjoyed this class and feel that more students should consider taking this course with you.
At the beginning of the semester, I was reluctant to complete this article, but after two weeks, I liked this article and become enthusiastic and eager to learn more after the end of each chapter, I benefited from every quarter, including valuable information on health nutrition, and how we keep our bodies through regular exercise, time management and take advantage of it and achieve our goals with all the insistence and without a fall through positive thinking and optimism that will meet happiness, and how to use memory to improve the study and selection of the best times to review the exam. The text postal concept was very clear, and this class helped me a lot in completing my specialty and with confidence, and it was really fun which improved my chance and my insistence on success, either my assessment of this category is a fun and excellent. Finally, I like to thank Professor Marsha, which is quite frankly, a distinctive human being tried and are trying to give us a chance if we are late in sending homework and reminds us not to forget and sustained us until the last moment, wishing you and for all the excellence and success and happiness in your lives.
ReplyDeleteOn the Post test my results varied some were higher before and some were lower before. During this course I learned a lot about myself and how I think about myself and things I like. This course showed me different ways of viewing things and how to handle different situations and also choosing a career that fits me best. I don’t have any suggestions, this course is good. I really liked the e-text and college success online. The personality assessment was accurate for the most part and it helped me better understand different personality types. Yes I did find the MI advantage assessment useful because it gives you a breakdown of your advantages you can use they will be helpful. I still haven’t chosen a major but this course helped me narrow my choices. This course overall did help me with my overall success and I would rate it excellent as well as the Professor. She was quick to respond to emails and made the online class feel more personal.

It helped me a lot and gave me a lot of opportunities to learn more about life and the future and even about my career and made me a successful student. It even helped me do better at school. I really think this class is good for everyone and I would recommend everyone to take it in the future. I don’t see that this class needs any improvements. It is good the way it is and well explained. I liked the chapters too and I thought they were well written and made and they have helped me a lot. The professor, since I didn’t get a chance to meet her, she was amazing and she have always helped and replied fast via e-mails. Overall, I would evaluate and rate this course as good and helpful and enjoyable, plus I would recommend it to any student that wants to understand the future well and do good in their college career. ReplyDeleteMy overall evaluation in this class was outstanding. It was a great experience taking this online class. The course was easy to follow and straight to the point. Out of the two other online classes I have taken, I wish they were as straight to the point as this class. I would not change a thing on how you lead this class. Also, I would recommend this class to other students to take and that your a wonderful Professor.
Did this class improve your chances for success in college?
Starting my second semester here at Cuyamaca College was nerve wrecking for myself. Because I am 30 years old and have not been in school for over 13 years. So each class that I was going to take I had some anxiety that I was not going to succeed. In the beginning of this class I was unsure on some of the results on the assessments we took. After looking at the results, I felt more at ease and more confident in myself. This class did not only give me more confidence in succeeding as a student but as a wife and a mother. My anxiety went away due to me printing some of my results and hanging them on the wall. Which I read to myself when I wake up and again right before I go to sleep. I know that I will succeed and complete all my classes and get my degree in Universal and Behavioral Sciences and then continuing my education at San Diego State.
Thank you again, so much Professor Fralick for having this class and teaching me more about myself. I never knew that I had in myself. This was a great experience and looking forward for what my future holds.
I genuinely enjoyed this class and it should be a class mandatory in high school. I learned so many life lessons and discovered so much about myself that I wish I would have learned a few years ago. I think the most helpful lesson for me was learning about my personality type and the help with public speaking since that was one of my biggest struggles in life. I think no one should fail college after taking this class since you provided so many tips and tricks to be successful not only in college, but with our future. As a professor, you were one of my favorites. I enjoyed how much you knew about life, and being successful, and how to treat people and yourself. My only struggle with this class was the procrastination, but hey, that's with every online class for me. I'll try using some of your time management tips more!
ReplyDeleteI am sad to end this course. In all honesty, at first I thought this course was cheesy, But once going continuing and changing my mind-set I sincerely enjoyed it. What I enjoyed most was learning about myself and learning how to communicate with others. Before this course I always knew I had a flaw on how I communicate with those closest to me. But once finishing and learning about my personality and why I am the way I am, I am trying to change my style of communicating. This class is great for all aspects in life and I often find myself teaching my own mother techniques I have learned about thinking positively and motivation skills since she suffers from depression. With that said, this class has also taught me about other people and understanding. Lastly, I am happy to know that I am on the right track with my choice of career because of what I learned here. The class is easy to follow and I enjoyed it being interactive with the journals. I am happy to have this tool forever I will certainly be referring back to it.

• I loved all of the self help and self recognition, self realization aspect of this course. It made me deal with things that I have been putting off and it also helped me with realizizing the potential I have. It gives a lot of encouragement.

• I cannot think of any improvements because I loved every single part of this course. I feel like courses like this one can be a little generic but this was definitely not!

• I think the e-text was great especially for an online class. I think there is nothing worst than tagging along a text book for an online class. The material was very accessible and the site was easy to navigate about.

• I think the personality assessment was spot on and it made me realize and accept some of the things that I might have not been comfortable with before.

• I think this assessment was about 85-95% accurate. I think it might have been off about a few things but with any type of assessment I think this is something that will happen. The career field I am planning to go into was on the list of one of the professions that was recommended along with many other career options that I have an interest in.

• Absolutely! I think many times when we go to college straight out of high school, we sometimes choose a major because our friends are choosing that major. Also, sometimes we don’t know what our strengths and weaknesses are, so this class will benefit any and everyone, especially freshmen.

• Very much so. I’ve learned so many new great things about myself that I did not know and I’ve learned new was to look at things in order to get a new or better understanding.

• I think you are an excellent instructor. You replied to my emails in a timely manner, which is always appreciated because as I know, I am your only student. Your timeliness to get assignments graded did not go unnoticed.
What I liked about this class is it helped me decide what my interests are. This class helped me decide my major. I learned a lot of useful information from each chapter. I suggest that future students not having to comment on another person's comment. My evaluation from the e-text, College and Career Success Online is it has assignments that are very helpful in choosing my career. My evaluation for the personality assessment is I learned what type of person I am and embracing it. This class was very helpful in deciding my major. My answers matched the careers that I was interested in. This class improved my chances of doing well in college because it gave me tips and techniques that I will use in the future. My overall evaluation of this class is outstanding because I learned a lot from teachings. My rating for this instructor would be excellent. You describe the assignments really well so I understand it.
ReplyDeleteThis class was the best decision of my life. Every chapter was so useful and I even looked back just to have the source with me if I needed to look at it. There were many times where I looked back at some chapters just so I can refresh my memory. My favorite part of the week was working on the chapters and reading. I love to read. I love taking my time just to read the chapters and see what I got to learn. The test taking chapter was extremely useful for me. I am really bad at taking tests and that chapter gave me advice I never thought about. I tried everything but this is the only class that helped me. This class is important because it improved my chances for success. In college, I need all of the advice I can learn. I need to learn different ways to study, take notes and also advice about social life. I think every person in college should take this course because there is not so much work and we can enjoy the lessons and not worry about just going through fast because of all the work we have to complete. I found this class extremely useful. Another great thing was figuring out my strengths and thinking about why my career is something I should be interested in. I wish I can take this class again, I'm upset it is over already. This will most likely be my favorite and easiest class in college.
ReplyDeleteI really like how this class helped me identify my strengths and my weaknesses, as well as it helped me understand how I can turn some weaknesses into strengths. I also really liked how this class was paced and the fact that we can always turn in assignments if we miss them. I find it really helpful that there is a personality test and furthermore it helps you find careers that fit your personality and interest. I found that at the end of the course I improved in all of the sections of the post test. One of my favorite blog post was about ways to study for exams, I thought they were neat ideas, it would be cool to have a little video for each section relating to the topic. Overall I think that this class helped me find ways to be more successful in college and in life, I think that this is a class all students should take in their first semester of college. I also think that even though we have never met in person it is very nice of you to send us messages to encourage us when we are lagging behind, it is motivational and makes us know that you actually care about our success. ReplyDeleteI really like this class and can honestly say it was one of, if not, most influential and applicable courses I have ever taken. The program we used was super user-friendly and I would 100% suggest it to anyone, and wouldn't change anything about it. The personality test was definitely a cool aspect of the course as well. Its a bit lengthy and can get a little tedious, but its detail oriented and does a good job at analyzing ones personality, pretty accurately. The MI Advantage was different from any other personality test I've ever done. It had a cool perspective on the different strengths people have and breaking ghtem down into categories, but I preferred the personality test. The course really helped me a lot evaluate my major and critically decide whether or not it was for me. I especially liked how it linked up specific careers that would coincide well with my personality. I would say the class did help my improve my chances in success in school because it did help me develop more study skills especially in classes like math and science that are very different and more challenging for me. I would rate this class outstanding and would recommend it 10/10 times. Mrs. Fralick was incredibly understanding and helpful. She made an effort to comment on each of my chapter responses and was timely in getting back to all my emails. She was always helpful and supportive if I had questions or needed extra time on something, she made communicating with her very easy. She did a really good job at making an online class still feel very personal and involved.
ReplyDeleteWhen this semester got started, I had a counseling appointment, the counselor told me" how are you taking this class, it is so hard to someone who has difficulties in his language?" I told him it is fine, I can do, I can use google translator if I was facing something difficult, and now we are almost done with this semester, my grade is perfect and I have learned bunch of stuff, more than I have ever imagined, this class was so helpful to build a good future for my self and my life, I was afraid of taking it, but now I feel so happy to have it done and I proved that nothing is impossible especially for those who want to learn and be successful in their lives. Everything was just great in this class, from the beginning until the end, the e-text was so good and made the class easier, and we can't forget the instructor who gave us the confidence in ourselves and helped us to do what we can to be successful, I felt so happy on every message you leave on my chapters, it was so nice of you to leave us comments on how we are doing, nobody does it. Thanks a lot for being patient with us.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, I have been attending college for a while now and will transferring to a four-year university next fall I really enjoyed this class. I think all students just starting out in college should definitely take this course and I will be certain to recommend it to friends who are interesting in going back to school to pursue a career. I found the personality assessment to be very helpful and informative. For example, for those who are introverts or sensing it is good for them to see what their character traits mean and what type of jobs would bet suit their personality. I personally felt that the personality test was pretty exact with the description of my traits, which are Introvert, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging. Meanwhile, I have already been following my choice of career path for a while this course justified for me even more that it is a good fit with my personality and even appeared on the suggested careers.

In my opinion, some online courses attempt to make the structure of the course too demanding such as requiring login multiple times a week for participation. I truly enjoyed the organization and structure of this course. You have been very prompt all semester with grading the homework and giving your honest feedback. Thank you for a great semester!
This class was so helpful for me, I have learned a lot of stuff that I wasn't thinking about, every chapter I have taken was a nest step to what I want and how to get it, the chapters improved me inside and out, they mad me thinking of what I want to be in the future and will I continue studying or not. Everything was amazing from the beginning until now, I haven't had any trouble dealing with assignments or any homework. The e-text was something new to me, I needed time to get used to it because we usually use a book, but I liked it, it is easy to use.You were such a nice, good, helpful instructor, I would rate you 10 out of 10 because of what you have done for each of us, thanks a lot for giving us your time to help us not just teaches us, but make us find the way to continue instead of giving up and stop what learning. I found that I know lots of ways now to get over my roadblocks in every class I take for the next semester, I will follow your instructions to get everything done on time before the due date. I enjoyed the E-text and the online work because each week it taught us new things and I was able to express my ideas. With the assessments, I was able to explore other types and my own personality. With the MI advantage, I was able to determine my strengths and weaknesses and I also found my interests in life.
This class helped my confirm my major because I learned more of myself.
This class helped me become more successful in college and make better decisions in life. I evaluate this class as Outstanding!! I rate the instructor very well and helpful. I loved how she was caring and wanted the students to improve and become stronger. There is nothing that she could've done to make the class any better.
What i liked about this class, was that it was about life and things that apply to everyone. Most classes are geared towards a specific topic that really has to spark your interest, but i feel as if everyone no matter what can benefit from taking this class. The class was useful to me because it made me think in ways about things that i had never thought about before. Reading all the info and blog posts every chapter really gets you thinking. My favorite chapter was the Exploring Multiple Intelligences chapter, because i had never heard of that before. Once i understood the topic, it was an interesting one that had a lot of different variations for each person. Overall, I would rate this course a 9/10 because not everything is perfect. Everything had a lot of info that was easy to sort through and really get the main points of it. Some of it was a little repetitive, such as some of the taking notes info, but maybe that is what some people need in order to start taking good notes. Teaching this course seems like a cool course to teach, you get to read everyones opinions on topics involving life.

Deletefor me i really liked this course overall and enjoyed learning a bunch o new techniques to help me out through school and my personal life. This class was useful because these skills i learned i will apply to my daily life. This class honestly cant be improved as it is taught very well and is easy to comprehend all of the work. The e-text was very easy to use and understand which was very helpful in doing the work for the course. Yes sometimes it was long but every part of it had useful information. The MI advantage assesment was useful and did give me some more insight on myself and what i can do or need to do to be successful also. If i had to rate the professor i would rate her 10/10 easily! You were very helpful throughout the entire course of the semester and gave every student there every chance to be successful in the class so i thank you and applaud you for that. This class did increase my chances in being successful in college because of all the new material i learned and can now apply to my school work.Every chapter and assignment served a great purpose and allowed me to grow as a student as well.
