Chapter 2, Exploring Your Personality and Major, Feb. 8-14

I was inspired reading all your blog posts on motivation.  Motivation sets the stage for success.  Many of you mentioned careers and the economy as motivators for going to college.  You are more likely to be employed and to like your career if you have an education.  One of the keys to success is what you do on a daily basis, so do a little of your homework each day and it all adds up to success.

Chapter 2 began with the Do What You Are (DWYA) personality assessment which has a 4 letter code used to summarize your personality type based on your answers in the assessment.  For example, my code is ISTJ which stands for introvert, sensing, thinking and judging type.

Posting 1:

Choose one of your letters and write 100 words about this aspect of your personality focusing on the positives of your type. Remember that one personality type is not better than any other.  Each type has different talents that can be useful in your personal or career life.  You may think that you are a combination of 2 different types.  It is OK to describe your unique combination.

Here is a sample of about 100 words:

Based on the DWYA, I am a judging type which means that I prefer to be orderly and organized.  I know that this is true because I can only feel relaxed when things are completed.  I plan my work and think about priorities when managing my time which helps me to accomplish my goals.  I even plan out my vacations in advance and like to have everything planned so I can relax and have fun.  I have met some opposite types in my lifetime and try to appreciate their differences.  I have found that perceptive types can usually introduce an element of fun in the situation and they motivate me to be a little more spontaneous at times.  I’m still most comfortable with my plans and don’t like to change them.

Posting 2:

Read another student’s posting who has the same personality type as yours and write a response to their post.

Here is a sample response of about 100 words:

I am a judging type also.   I could relate to your need to be orderly and organized.  I generally plan my time and like to have all my things organized.  I get stressed when things are out of order.  I have also met some perceptive types and I have to admit that they drive me a little crazy.  I like your idea of appreciating their differences and just trying to have fun with them.  I know that these opposite types think I am too set in my ways.  Being a judging type has lots of positives.  I plan to major in accounting and this seems to be a natural fit for my personal strengths.

Just as a quick review, here is a brief definition of all types on DWYA.  Please review these definitions before you make your comments.

Introvert: private, likes quiet for concentration, likes to think before speaking
Extravert: social, likes variety, sometimes speaks before thinking
Sensing: works step-by-step, learns from experience, trusts what is concrete and certain
Intuitive: values imagination and innovation, focus on possibilities, creative and imaginative
Thinking: calm and objective, makes decisions based on logic, analyzes emotions, likes debate
Feeling: makes decisions based on personal values, values empathy and harmony, caring, emotional
Judging: orderly, organized, work first and play later, follows a routine, meets deadlines (Note: it does not mean to judge others!)
Perceptive: spontaneous, go with the flow, play first and do the work later, dislike routine, difficulty meeting deadlines

  1. Based on the do what you are assessment, I am a judger. I do not like things put of order and I usually have a mild OCD with the way things are. I am very organized with everything in particular. I like to get to school extra early so I find parking and don't have to run to my class. I like to have all my homework completed in the beginning instead of procrastinating until the end. When it comes to money management, my bills are all on a set schedule to be paid a week in advance of the due date. Time is also crucial because if it's not managed properly, I become disorganized with everything else. All of these traits on being a judger make a difference in being successful in life.

    1. Hello Ashley, according to both of our DWYA reports, we seem to have a very similar personality. We both tend to be very social and like to be surrounded with people all the times. We also like to meet new people all the times and make new friends, as well as try new things more often. Also, we both are the type that friends trust all the times and get advice from when they are stuck in situations. Lastly, we are both honest and not afraid of telling the truth. Although we have so many similarities, we have some differences as well such as the laughing problem that you can not control and doing things last minute. I attempt to be very good with doing things in time or even earlier, which it seems like you do too because you like to complete everything in time.

    2. Hey Brandon, after reading your response I can see that we have things in common. I am also very organized in everything whether it is homework, my room or the house. I also get to school early so that I can find parking and take my time walking to class. I hate rushing things so I make sure I give myself time. We both do not procrastinate which is important and I definitely agree with you when you say time is crucial. I will also be disorganized if my time is not managed. It is nice to read about someone that does the same things you do.

    5. Hi Brandon. I can relate to you on your time management and organized life. I like to finish assigments and chores first and then enjoy my free time and hobbies, I think it is more gratifying that way. I don't like to waste time , that is why I dont procrastinate neither. After reading your comment I thought I was the only Judger on the course, because other comments express the opposite. If it was not for schedules I would be lost in my life , especially in my college life. I think that quality of us will help and serve me well on acomplish my major ( computer sciences) which requieres organization and methodology .

  2. According to my DWYA report, I am a down to earth person who is willing to help anybody at anytime and do anything to make the people who surround me very happy. Helping others makes me the happiest as well and I love to do it as much as I possibly can. I always give more than I get. When I help others, I do not expect anything in return, I do it because it makes me feel good about myself and makes me appreciate the things and the people around me much more than I usually do. Being a giver, I feel that it makes me different than other people. It makes me the one that people are always willing to know and become friends with. It also makes people trust me more and always ask me for advices that could help because they know I am always there for them willing to do anything at anytime.

I'm a feeling time also, I could relate to your kindness for helping people. I like to help people as well and I don't expect anything in return. I also can be trusted for anything, and since I don't have that many experiences nobody comes and asks for advice. I'm kind of a private person, and I spend most of my time alone. You are lucky that people trust you and they come and ask you for advices.

You seem to be a very genuine person and i very much respect that. Helping others is a great feeling and the fact that you do not ever expect anything back is truly a great characteristic about you. No one should ever not appreciate the people around them and i am glad you appreciate the people surrounding your life and for me anyone in my life is very important to me.

  3. Based on the DWYA, the results show that I am a judger. This is definitely accurate. I always make sure I get my school work done before I make any plans with friends or family just so I don't have to worry about it later. Not only do I get my work done on time, I like to finish it as early as possible. Being a judger, I work well with a schedule. Of course I like to switch things up a little, but for the most part I like to go by a schedule because it's simple and I enjoy it.

    4. Hello Savannah,
I am a judging type too, I agree with you about what you have said because I definitely do the same especially when I have more than one more to do like I work and I study so when you have two important things to do and can't postpone, you have to fish everything before you hang out with your friends. I always make sure that my work is done before the due date and I make sure that all my tasks that gave to me are done so I can play later. I depend on myself, not on other so if I have to do something I have to do it, I don't wait for someone to do it for me.

    5. Hello Savannah,
I am a judging type too, I always do what you do, i like to do all my work before the due date, sometimes when I finish the homework for some classes, I jump over and do the homework for the upcoming week because I don't know what issue I am going to have so I know I am ready. I follow the daily routine and meet all the deadlines. I am very organized about having everything done on time, this is what I was told to do when I came to the U.S. They told me that that time is so important here, follow it, don't be late and you are going to be successful.

    6. Hi Savannah. According to your response, I believe that I share the same personality as you do and when I was reading your post, I was shocked and surprised to see someone that I can compare and relate myself to. It is nice to read a post that matches my personality. I always go by the motto of work hard, then play hard. It is an accomplishment for me when I get my work done on time because I know I don;t have to stress over it last second. I have this OCD about me and I have to get things done a certain way and a certain time or else everything will be ruined and out of order for me resulting in me being in a bad mood. Good to meet you through similar personalities Savannah :)

  4. I am a sensing type of personality I like to work step by step to get to the main goal. I learn from my experience and lessons from my daily life and also from my mistakes. I would like to have clear schedule to know what to do and how to plan, and like to use their proven skills in tactical situations. I don’t trust anyone that will talk to me about certain things without providing any evidence or facts. I like logic to pursue things in clear sequence; I focus on what is immediate, practical and real, and live life as it is rather than trying to change the world.

I am a sensing type also, I just do everything you do. I can't do all my work once, I like to take it easy and start step by step so I don't get confused and when I do that I feel more comfortable and able to continue without being in a rush and get stressed out. I manage my time so I know what I have to do now and what I am not able to do so I can ask someone who can explain it to me.
I am not tired of the daily routine that I have because every day I learn something new and I jump to another step toward my success.

I'm a sensing type also. It seems that we are sharing the same idea of personality. I don't like to be urgent in my work if I'm at school or my work. I like to do everything step-by-step and take things in an easy way to achieve my goal. Also, I like to learn from my experiences and my mistakes because that will help me continue through my life. I like to focus on things in the present and plan for it to get my life easier. These steps would help me achieve my goals in this life.

I am also a sensing type. We share some of the same characteristics. I also like to have a schedule to help me know what to do, and when to do it. I also use logic when I answer something because it is a more detailed way of answering those questions. I also work step-by-step to achieve something. This also helps is planning and avoids doing something last second. I also try to learn from my past experiences and mistakes to help guide me in the future. I am also practical and I do not try to do something out of the ordinary.

  5. Hello,
Based on the DWYA, I am a judging type, I like to be organized in everything I do If I was in school or in my daily life, I like to have my stuff organized. Organizing time is my best part because if my time wasn't organized then I can't focus or do anything, I will be in a hurry and do everything quickly just to have my work done and this is not useful for me as a student and as a mother.
My homework are always due before the due date and if I was late that's mean I had a big issue that prevented me from having my work done, otherwise, I am always on time.

    1. Hello Wafe,
Based on my DWYA I am a judger person to and there are many similarities between me and you. I like to organize everything and be always on time because the time is control our life. In my work and in college, time is very important because if I late I will miss a lot and that let me feel angry. I am responsible for every minute. I will feel lost if I don't manage my time and my schedule. I like everything to be under control and when this thing happens, everything will be ok and in the right way.

  6. Based on DWYA, I'm a thinking type which is mean when I want to do something, I will think about it several times before I do it. For example, when I take the exam in the college I'm think always go back to my answers and check them if something wrong or something missing, that is mean I'm always think before I do anything. On the other hand, in my life I use to be calm because when I'm calm, I do everything right. Also, I like to make discussions with my family until I reach to the right decision which is useful for me.In addition, I use to analyze everything in my mind because this way is very easier to a chive and reach to anything that I want it, even it takes a long time, but in my opinion is the better thing to be a good person.

    1. I am reading you post and I can see myself with similar qualities as you. I am also the thinking type and before I make a decision I think about the outcome would it be positive or negative. The example about taking an exam is so true, I also like double checking my work before it is submitted. I also like group discussions with family, friends and co-workers you will eventually learn something from the discussion. I also pay close attention my surrounding and work at a pace that would yield good results. I also enjoy the freedom of doing things my own way but at the same time within the normal way of doing it. Finally I always like meeting the deadline at least two days before the actual due date of a project because this give me time to make any last minute adjustments or changes.

I just realized that we both have the same DWYA. We are both thinkers. I personally like my type and I think it is great to be a thinker and as you said, the most important thing is to be a good person. I do also review my test so many times before turning it in just like you. I did realized so many things in common and that is great. Your post has taught me great things about having a thinker personality. We are lucky Sandy to have this kind of personality. Good luck in the class.

I have always been a organized person, I use order and methodology on my every day life . I like to prioritize my assignments and use my time efficiently. I like to finish all my resposibilities and then enjoy my liberties. I had problems with the past with people that likes to use emotions rather that logic to solve problems. 10. Based on my do what you are (DWYA) personality assessment, I am an Introvert type which means that I am a private person. I don't like to share my secrets with anyone because I can't trust people easily. I like to get my work done alone or work with a small group of people. I'm not a talker, and I don't like presentations at all! I also spend most of my time alone, listen to music and relax while nobody is around. I like everything to be organized even my phone has to be organized. In addition, I very difficult to get to know because I don't show or talk about myself. I like those those things about me because I think sometimes people need there own relaxing time.

    1. I am also an introvert type. I feel that I can greatly relate to your need of privacy and not wanting to speak aloud. I feel a sense of comfort and relaxation from doing things by myself because there is no judgement or no need to speak in front of a crowd of people. I often try to be less of an introvert by surrounding myself with more extroverts which helps but at the end of the day I go back to being by myself. Being an introvert is not as bad as people make it to be I mean you don’t need to be judged or have to raise your voice. Being an introvert can be a great thing because you can get to truly understand yourself,go through life at your own pace. Lastly I completely understand not wanting to present in front of a class as it can be nerve racking by us thinking we need to be loud enough to present or have other people focusing on us which we introverts don't like the extra attention.

    2. I got that I am an introvert too. I prefer to be alone and do things that I like by myself. I can relate to you in that way that I don’t trust people really easily. I have to know people for a really long time to be a little bit open with them. The one thing is that I don’t really mind presenting things to people, its something that has never made me nervous or awkward, as long as it is about a subject other than myself. Its funny that you mention that you have your phone all organized because I have all my apps divided into categories to make them easier to find!

    3. I am also an introvert and I enjoy being one. When I was younger, I had to learn to speak up and join in the conversation. One of the things I like about being an introvert is that I can focus and get the job done. I also have no problem entertaining myself.

    4. I am also an introvert, I like to work alone more than in groups like you. I also am not much of a talker and many people have questioned me on why I am so quiet all the time. But I am a person who trusts people a lot, maybe too much. I understand why it is hard to trust others, sometimes you may end up disappointed in a person who had put your trust into and it makes you not want to trust them anymore. I have been through that, but in the end, the world needs trust or we will always be people who are paranoid all the time.

  11. After taking the DWYA personality assessment, the results showed I was an extravert type of person. An extravert person is outgoing, have lots of friends, energized by social interaction, and also known to be talkative and friendly. After carefully examining the characteristics of an extravert, I myself, was pretty shocked and amazed at how much I was seeing myself as this type. My other results besides being an extravert are sensing, thinking and judging. Reading the rest of my DWYA personality assessment made me realize that I do fit into these categories.

  16. Based on DWYA assessment I am an introvert and feeling type which means I tend to keep to myself, think before speaking and make decisions off of my own personal beliefs and emotions. I find this analysis to be very accurate as I seek comfort in keeping a sense of privacy along with making decisions based off of what I feel is right. I enjoy completing homework mostly alone or with a few close friends. I prefer to speak with people one on one to maintain a sense of privacy along with being able to develop a closer connection with that person. When it comes to my feeling type I bring empathy and personal values into the equation by trying to help others and have a better understanding of what they are going through. I seek comfort in helping others in any way possible, it provides with a feeling of happiness accomplishment and knowing I was able to make someone’s day slightly better. This allows me to meet new individuals and create stronger friendships even if I do tend to keep to myself. I feel that if it wasn’t for my feeling type I might just be an introvert that never steps out of my shell and doesn’t get as much as I could out of life.

  20. According to the Do What You are personality test I am Perceptive. I think that out of all of the other letters this describes me the best. Being spontaneous means that you never know what is going to happen with me, I truly don’t like to plan things out and that comes with some benefits. Since I don’t plan thing out exactly I am always open to new opportunities and experiences. I do really weird things because of this, last night I went out and bought a pair of frogs, just because. I love to have fun before I do what I actually have to do, so I do a lot of activities and then I do my errands last minute.

According to my Do What You Are personality test I am a extravert. This means I am quite the social butterfly, I enjoy getting to know others and meeting new people. The downfall of being an extravert at times could be when I speak before actually thinking about what I am saying. I also prefer being active by always having something to do instead of just sitting at home. I love working with others and I tend to enjoy the company of others while working or doing my studies. The way I learn sometimes is through others and by trying new things.

Me as an introvert I enjoy focusing my energy on decision making towards my future success. I Think about doing something that will make profit for my self while I still maintain my current career. I definitely can relate to what you are saying about dealing with problems as they present themselves one step at a time, otherwise I tend to feel overwhelmed and flustered by them as a whole. Also, how you said you focus your energy on decision making towards your future is something that I'm constantly reminding myself everyday. It's definitely hard to stay motivated sometimes, whether it be for work or school, and I try to focus my energy and thoughts on what I'm doing today and how it will help me be one step closer to my goals for the future.

  23. Based on the personality type assessment I am ISFP. My personality is described as 'The Artist' who is gentle caring and sensitive. I do not consider my self as a sensitive person because I do not hesitate to tell people the blatant truth. I am a realistic and practical person mature enough to accept criticism. In my opinion taking criticism personally is not negative because I always like getting the task done right the first time and I always think about bettering myself. I like group discussions which often lead to debates and I am given the opportunity to present facts and accurate data base on research. Being a person who like to learn hands on I enjoy doing mechanic and developing ways to make my work much easier and more productive. Whatever task I perform it is taken seriously and being a person with an introvert personality I focus on making good decisions which would determine my success in the future.

  24. According to the "What is my Personality type?" Evaluation test, I was determined ISTP. Being a sensing type allows me to think things through thoroughly, and work step by step. I know this is true, because I always base my decisions on experiences and possible outcomes. Trusting what is concrete and certain allows you to make no mistakes, and make plans go accordingly. Thinking is also related to sensing, because making decisions based off logic is almost the same as sensing. The part about liking to debate is major, I personally love to debate and look at every side and analyze what they have to say and how I can retain some of that information.

    1. Ryan, we have very similar results except for the thinking aspect of it, I am a feeler in that category. I am such a sensing person which allows me to think things completely out before making a decision, especially one that can affect other people. I agree with your opinion regarding sensing and thinking being related. I always admire people that are not hesitant to debate and give their opinions on certain subjects. We all are passionate about something, and I think debate is just one of those things that are beneficial because not only are you sharing the knowledge you possess but you are also learning and retaining new knowledge. Great post and thanks for sharing

    2. You are right that thinking types love to debate. Just remember to respect the point of view of the feeling types who see the world a little differently, especially in personal relationships.

    3. Hi Ryan,

I agree with you immensely about thinkers loving to debate as well as retaining knowledge from the debate. My mind is not easily swayed when I feel strongly about something therefore it takes a very strong logical debate to persuade me of someone else's ideas. With that being said, I typically analyze the information and knowledge being shared and will retain it from that point forward. I am naturally very calm and rational when making logical decisions and can always provide in great depth my reasoning for my decisions. Its good to see there are more thinkers out there, I’ve noticed a lot of feelers. I found it interesting that the assessment test stated the majority of men are thinkers and woman are feelers.

  25. According to the analysis of the Do What You Are Personality test, I am an ISFP. I concur with the results of this test and I think it is pretty accurate in describing the person I am. To start off, I am an introvert, which came as no surprise to me. I enjoy spending time alone or only with a couple of people. Peace and serenity are a must have in my life. Being an introvert does not being that you are a boring person. I love to have fun like anyone else. I am not a very talkative person because I like to sit back and observe what is going on around me. When I meet someone, I can always tell them exactly what they were wearing, where we met and what we talked about. I am a very detailed oriented person. I take on one task at a time in order to focus my time and abilities to making sure that task is completed and executed well. As far as career, the test hit the nail on the head with its feedback. I am a very nurturing person and enjoy helping people, so that is part of the reasons I decided to go into the nursing field. I really enjoyed this activity, it reminded me of all the great qualities I possess.

    1. Hi Jimmine,
I am also an introvert! Some people might mistaken being an introvert as someone who is boring that doesn't really like to do anything, but that is not the case. I enjoy social activities very much. I enjoy a different type of outing. Something that is more relaxed is what I enjoy. I am also a very detailed oriented person. It is mainly because we like to listen and observed while others do all the talking.

  26. According to the analysis of the "DWYA" part of my personality is a judger. Being a judger, I like to have order in my life. Punctuality is important to me because it shows my respect for others and I feel more comfortable living by routine. I am also a very focused person who likes to get things done and on time. I like to provide work that is accurate and thoroughly done. I am mostly a judger but can also adapt to being a perceiver, since I am also a mother and I know life can not always go according to plan.

  27. I am a sensing type, which means that I like to work step-by-step and trust what I can see and what is concrete. At first, I did not think this was correct. When I think of someone who is "structured" and more interested in the facts and figures of something, I picture someone who prefers the Math and Science fields to the more creative and expressive ones like writing. I have never like math or science, I actually hate it, and english and writing is my favorite subject. The more I looked into the details though the more I saw how I truly cross over into both. I do prefer structure, I like knowing what is expected of me and in an assignment and then using that template if you will, to implement my creativity and go forward.

  28. Hello,
According to my DWYA report, I am an introvert type, I like to study alone because when I sit among more than three persons, I don't know what to do because it gets noisy and all talk at the same time so we waste time on talking more than studying, also, my personality type force me to think before I speak because If I speak something that I am not allowed to say, people will get hurt or they may not like what I have said so I always try to think about what I am going to say and why I say it.

  29. The DWYA personality assessment indicates that I am ISTJ/P; I am 50/50 on being a judger or perceiver, which I think is accurate. I am choosing to write about thinking. Being a thinker is described as being very logical, fair, calm, and analytical, I strongly posses all of these qualities very dominantly. I analyze all situations before acting and will always respond in a very logical manner. My friends often like to talk to me and get advice because they know I will critically depict the situation and give a logical response. I believe everyone should be treated with respect and fairly regardless of education and rank. I enjoy challenging work and love critical thinking to solve problems. In every aspect of my life school, work, or social setting I am always calm and collected even when dealing with high intensity situations.

  30. Hello,
Based on DWYA, I am a sensing type, In my daily life, I always follow what is saying about being a sensing person. When I have to do something hard and not easy to do all in once, I follow some instructions i make for myself so I make my situation easier to do and easier to understand. I have learned from my experience that when I do something so fast just to finish will make me fail in some situations and give up on them. So I always remind myself to be patient and don't rush because I will blame myself after that.

  31. According to my DWYA, I am a feeler type. I like to help people with their need. When they call me I always available for them. I don't like to say no to anyone because this is my personality. I also interested in work in the group with different kinds of people. I am the very friendly person. when I am between them and see their smile, I feel very happy. I like always to stay with them us much us I can. When I don't see them I feel something missing. I want always to be beside them and hear their news and sharing their day life because they trust in me and that what makes me feel comfortable.

  32. According to the DWYA personality assessment, I have found out that the results show that i am an extravert. I completely agree with that because an extravert person is outgoing, have lots of friends, energized by social interaction, and also known to be talkative and friendly. After thoroughly reading the different characteristics of an extravert, i have thought about how i fit each one of them. I am happy with my results because i enjoy the fact that i am an exciting fun person that most people like and that thing i am enjoyable to be around. I am for sure very easy to talk to and enjoy nice conversations with my friends and family.

  33. According to the DWYA personality assessment, I am a Sensor type. I am an organized person and like to follow steps. I like to have a planned schedule to keep me to date and certain on what I am doing in my everyday life. I try hard to get immediate answers to my questions because I do not like to be confused on anything. I am much more confident when I know what to do, instead of being lost. I try to do my work early to avoid doing something last minute. When I do my work early, I am more on track to do stuff the right way.

  34. Based on my results, I'm a feeler. However; I could have told you this long before I took the test. Ever since I was very young I was extremely sensitive when it comes to certain things. I've always been very empathetic and caring of other people even when they don't necessarily deserve it. I'm very invested in my personal relationships with friends and loved ones. More times than not I go with my gut feeling over reason and I like to think it works well for me. I think that being such a feeler heavily influences my job preferences. I'm only really interested in working with people with something that I love doing.

    1. Like Todd I am also a feeler so I identify with most of what he wrote. For example, I am always empathic to people who don't deserve it. I always try and find the best in everyone and every situation. I don't think people who make bad decisions are bad people. However, unlike Todd I do not consider myself a sensitive person. I am pretty easy going and not easily upset because I always try and see where people are coming from in situations. However, I am awful with criticism. I always take it way too personally and my feelings always get hurt even if the person didn't mean too.

  35. Based on my DWYA account I am the perceptive type. I hate routine and you can always find me out doing something with my day. I find it really difficult to find time to sit down and do my homework (which is why I always procrastinate like now). I am very spontaneous and love random adventures and trips. I like freedom and hate being given lots of rules and structure. I always take forever to make decisions because I like to explore different options.

    1. This is a good description of a perceptive type. This type has lots of advantages like being able to deal with change. However, you will have to use time management to get your assignments done in college. Waiting until the last minute is risky!

  36. Based on my DWYA account I am the introvert type. I am a very quiet and reserved person. I tend to think things through before acting. I also prefer to keep my circle small with only a few close friends I trust and am comfortable with. I also prefer to study alone because I enjoy deep concentration. When I start something I can't stop until I finish it. Although I am an introvert, I do still enjoy having a good time. My idea of a good time is something peaceful and relaxing. For instance, I would rather go out for dinner and a movie rather than to a bar.

  40. Ashley Crawley and I am a ENJT and the letter I'm going to choose to write about is the E and I pick this because this is something new that I am growing into. I have not always been an E Extrovet I actually was more of and I introvert. I'm now seeing and growing into liking binging around groups of people. Working together and just doing life together. I do have my moments where I find myself pulling back but at this point of my life I'm loving the company and being around others

  41. According to my DWYA, I am a judging personality type. This is very true. I am constantly trying to plan out everything. If something isn't planned to the extent that I like it to be and it's a couple of weeks away, I feel as if it isn't planned at all. A good example of this is when I moved to a new house over winter break, I planned on taking my bus route to work to see how much longer it would take me to get to work in the morning. Another example is my closet, my closet isn't organized by color, as I believe that to be borderline obsessive, but by sleeve length.

  46. The letters I got from the Do What You Are report was INFP. The letter I will talk about is F. I feel that this letter is the most accurate out of all of them, even though they are all pretty accurate. People think that feelings will get in the way of decision-making, but for me it helps me know what is right and what is wrong. I always try to see the value in everything and see the good in everyone. This quality helps me make friends very easily and shows that I am a person who will care about you. Also by being someone who makes decisions based on feelings, I also take into account the feelings of other people.

  47. Based on my DWYA I am an introvert. I used to think that this was not such a great thing, but after reading this chapter I realized there are positive aspects. Introverts like having a small group of close friends, which I see as a good thing because at least you know that your small group of friends are true friends. Another good trait is liking to do work or study alone, I believe this is also a good trait because work gets done a lot faster and you do not have to depend on no one else. Introverts are also great listeners because they are not as talkative, which creates long lasting friendships and gives good advice from listening.

  48. Based on DWYA, I consider myself as a “thinking’ type. Which means when I decide to do something I have to think about taking that action so many times before committing it. For example, when I want to buy a shirt, I will have to go over it more than one time and make sure the size is good and that I like the way it fit and the colors too. This shows that I am a thinker type. Before taking any action I do like to share it with my friends and family and ask them about their opinions and then I would rethink about it and then do it. I also imagine stuff in my mind ahead and see the worst case scenario. I really think that my type is good.

  49. Based on my DWYA, I would say that I am in between of Introvert and Extravert which is both private and social and someone who thinks before they speak and as someone who has impulses and sometimes speaks out. I feel like I pull towards Extravert most of the time because I try to get along with everyone and be positive. I also think I am they judging type and also perceptive. I feel as though sometimes I judge people in certain situations and also I reminder myself to not judge people because you can never really know some one without getting to know them.

  50. I am a judging type also. I like to be neat and organized. I like to plan my time and like to have all my things organized. especially during school I like to have everything planned and everything done on time, if I don't I start to panic that things wont be complete in time.
